Bright Ideas is an 8-week entrepreneurship education program that is designed to give high school students an opportunity to explore the world of business. Teams of 4-5 students engage in problem identification, solution development, and market assessment. They then create a revenue generating micro-business where they sell their product to consumers in their community. With the help of a university mentor, and advice from industry professionals, Bright Ideas provides a low-stakes environment where students are able to experiment and take risks.
At the end of the 8 weeks, each team pitches their business to a panel of judges in the competition for the Bright Ideas Cup.
