Bright Ideas offers students the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills in a low-stakes environment and gain hands-on experience in the business world. Our program aims to connect students with various backgrounds and interests to share their knowledge and experiences.

Bright Ideas is a 10-week program that teaches high school students lessons in business fundamentals such as marketing, accounting, and entrepreneurship. In teams of 4-5, students are partnered with an experienced Enactus SFU student mentor. The teams will participate in weekly workshops led by Enactus mentors at various SFU campuses. Then, teams will be tasked with finding a solution to a prevalent issue facing the community. The teams are to create a business plan and build a product prototype with the help of a maximum contribution of $100 from Bright Ideas to finance their idea.

At the end of the cycle, teams will present their business to a panel of judges composed of industry professionals for the chance to earn prizes. Bright Ideas is designed to instill confidence in students to enact change in their communities.
